A Day in the Life of a Carriage Horse
Lots of people thought my horses were kept at my Old Towne Carriage House in town and I just hitched them up to do the tours. But horses need lots of space (at least 1-acre per horse for grazing and exercise) and there certainly wasn’t enough land in town for these big guys! So my Belgians lived with me on a peaceful 2.5-acre farm on the island that had an enclosed barn with extra large stalls. It was there that they spent the majority of their time grazing most of the day; getting bathed and groomed; and seeing their Vet and Farrier.
Quiet time with visitors at the farm
Ready for a Pressure Wash
Equipment Ready at Carriage House while snacking on Alfalfa Hay
Don't forget the hoof polish!
All hitched up and ready to go
Pulling the happy wedding couple
If you want a stable friendship, get a horse."

"My horse's feet are as swift as rolling thunder
He carries me away from all my fears
And when the world threatens to fall asunder
His mane is there to wipe away my tears"
